PUBLIC NOTICE (Village Sewer System Notice)
NOTICE TO RESIDENTS
Due to the recent rainfall and increased water flow, residents are asked to take the following steps immediately to help reduce the strain on the Village’s wastewater system:
• Ensure that all sump pumps are discharging water outside and not into the sewer system or floor drains.
• Restrict water usage whenever possible until the rainfall subsides.
• Refrain from flushing unnecessary items down toilets. Only flush toilet paper and human waste.
The Village’s lift station is currently unable to keep up with the increased flow caused by the heavy rainfall. To help manage the increased flow, the Village has also brought in a vac truck to assist with the process. However, your cooperation is essential to help prevent sewer backups and maintain reliable wastewater service throughout the community.
We appreciate your assistance and understanding during this period of heavy rainfall. If you have any questions, please contact the Village Office.
