CATHOLIC WOMEN'S LEAGUE

Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Women's League (CWL) was installed in Englefeld in June 1961.
The CWL is a National organization and the only Catholic women's organization in Canada. The CWL follows the three pillars of Faith, Service and Social Justice. The League inspires a deeper faith among its members, encourages service projects to the needy in our parish, diocese and country as well as bringing social justice issues to the attention of its members and the government at all levels.
Women are empowered in leadership roles to better serve their families and communities.
The Catholic Women's League has been active in Canada since 1921.

Our program operates in the Rec. Center from October to May and our classes are 2 hours long, twice a week.  We include a variety of activities such as storytime, circletime, games, music, crafts, free play and field trips.
Englefeld Preschool is a co-operative program with a parent board and a parent helper with each class.
Children will learn about sharing, following instruction/directions, counting, listening and cooperation.  We want all children to achieve their full potential and to succeed in school and in life.

RECREATION BOARD

The Englefeld Recreation Board is made up of volunteers from various organizations.  Its purpose is to manage recreational services in our community.  While much of its efforts go to maintain the arena, the Board also runs programs throughout the year like pickleball, youth soccer, learn to curl, learn to skate, walking program for seniors, and seasonal activities in the gym.  We have a number of fundraisers, including burger nights, 50/50, 12 Days of Christmas raffle and Pigs can Fly.  The Recreation Board is always looking for new members and new ideas.
